Despite the up and down relationship between Thailand Lacrosse and the almighty Nike, which led TLA to joined Pro Athletics in 2011 from wearing Nike uniforms in 2010. When the Thai National team takes the field this March against Singapore, the Men’s team will be sporting Nike Volt cleats on the field as they begin their third year in style. South Swell Sports (@SouthSwellLacrosse) had been partnered up with TLA since 2011, and they continue to moving forward together in 2012. They are also responsible for putting these good looking Nike footwear on the Team Thailand’s feet for this season. Team Thailand aren’t a stranger to the Volt movement, last year a few Thai players were spotted using the Volt lacrosse head, and cleats. This year TLA President, Payu decided to stepped up the game, and reward the players with these cleats. For all the hard work and their dedication to the TLA program, at it’s crucial turning point as they get ready for another strong year. The Thai players will have the choice between Nike’s Volt edition of the Huarache III, Zoom Vapor Carbon, and Speed Lax Men. Stay tuned for the pictures of them after the first game of the season against Singapore, the word of the street is that the Thai team will be wearing their Grey alternate uniform for the season opener.
Side note: Payu recently met with Nike Thailand, but the content of the meeting is still unknown (as far as we know, there isn’t a discussion between Payu and the US. based Nike Lacrosse division). Is Nike back on good term with TLA? Will we ever see the Thai version of long overdue Vapor Elite gloves? Which led us to another question: What helmet company recently secured a partnership contract with TLA? This time around though, Nike has South Swell to thanks for this deal with Thailand Lacrosse.
